Infant Program ( 0-18 months)

Our Infant program provides a warm, nurturing environment for your child to grow and meet the important milestones of those precious first years. Our flexible schedule allows for the needs of all infants to be met daily with their sleep and meal routines. Our infants explore their senses through sensory activities, art experiences, and music. The qualified staff plan and implement age appropriate activities that will enhance your child’s language, development, fine motor, and gross motor skills.

We will provide a detailed report of your infant’s day which will include: Diaper changes, meals, amount slept, and activities your child participated in throughout the day. Mapleseed Montessori and Childcare strives to make your infant feel loved, safe, and eager to learn.

*Diaper change is scheduled every 2 hours and as needed

To meet the needs of our infants, we follow a very flexible schedule that may adjust day to day based on there needs. However, we do try to maintain the following schedule when possible.


Toddler Program ( 18 months -30 months)

Our Toddler Program introduces your child to a structured day that is filled with carefully planned activities that promote curiosity, exploration, and learning. Their days are filled with laughter and learning both in the classroom and in our spacious outdoor playground.  Teachers at Seaton Valley Childcare are trained to lovingly support your toddler through each developmental phase as they learn to master new skills and reach developmental milestones.


PROGRAM FEATURES:

  • Weekly lesson plans with age appropriate activities that are designed to stimulate your child’s curiosity and interests
  • Programs are designed for hands on learning and exploration for all areas of development

*Our classroom is equipped with toddler-size furniture and materials to create a safe environment where children are encouraged to confidently explore their surroundings.

Preschool Program (2.5 years to 6 years old)

Preschoolers are eager to learn and discover new concepts. Our program provides an enriched classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore fun, challenging, and age-appropriate learning materials that promote positive social interaction and growth in all areas of development. Our staff will create a warm and caring environment where your child can develop trusting relationships with their caregivers and gain the confidence to learn.


PROGRAM FEATURES

  • Hands on learning experiences help children grasp concepts such as colours, letters, numbers, patterns, and sequences
  • Group activities promote positive social interaction and essential turn-taking and sharing skills
  • Daily language experiences are implemented to promote early literacy and language development
  • Teachers are available for daily communication regarding your child’s progress in the program
  • Stimulating learning centers are available throughout the centre including:  creative art, dramatic play, blocks, science and nature, and sensory.
  • Physical health and large motor skills are developed through our outdoor play time in our spacious playground.
